What Happened to UFL?

UFL,the free to play football simulation which is supposed to be the rival of FIFA/FC & efootball, what happened to it?

Don’t worry, the game development is still ongoing. In every couple of months the developers are putting a new video on their youtube channel with some more updates.

So what do we know so far?

It’s still in development and expected for release in 2024. There have been delays from the original launch windows in 2022 and 2023.

  • No Pay to Win:  You won’t need to spend a ton of cash to be good, skill is key. Where  games like FC24 offer a huge boost for the players who spend money on packs, UFL has announced that it will offer a flair playing field. So it’s a YAY situation for all of us who just wanna play some game without thinking about spending cash just to have an even match.

  • Football Focus It’s gonna be a football simulation, the game will feature realistic gameplay with tactical options and online matches against other players. You can build your own team from scratch with real-world footballers and compete for the UFL championship.

  • Fancy Graphics: The game is being built with Unreal Engine 5. This should allow us to have some stunning visuals in the game. But let’s not get our hopes up just yet, after seeing some gameplay videos we might be able to judge if it’s really stunning or not.

  • Big Name Backing:  In 2023, Cristiano Ronaldo invested $40 million in the game, which suggests a high level of confidence in the project. So we can only assume that this game will feature a lot of player packs of the Portuguese legend.
